This quick tour is ideal if you only have a short time frame and don’t want to miss the famous Banaue Rice Terraces – a panorama of 2000 year old terraces carved into the mountain sides of Ifugao Province by ancestors of this indigenous people. They are well known engineers and wood carvers who have been creating these wonders for thousands of years. This tour includes an exciting ride in a local jeepney to the various drop off points where you will hike the mountain trails to traditional local villages nestled within a huge valley of rice terraces. You can actually visit these homes and meet the local people or experience their way of life handed down from one generation to another.

DAY 1 – MANILA-BANAUE
01:30 AM or 02:00 AM- Departing Manila for Banaue via TPLEX highway, Nueva Ecija and Nueva Vizcaya. Catch more sleep in our vans with reclining seats as we take you there. Wake up for breakfast (own expense) at Solano then drive up into the Cordillera mountains into Banaue.
0930AM – Arrival into Banaue and check in at hotel then proceed to the optional adventure using local jeepneys and go hiking into the mountains:
A. BATAD: With a good physical level expect some rough narrow tracks that can be achieved in a short time. Marvel at the Batad amphitheater terraces from the village view point and see a 2000 year old terrace that climbs up a mountainside up to a 70-degree angle.
TAPPIYA WATERFALLS: after Batad there can be a long hike to see a 70 meter fall. A natural pool is formed at its bottom suitable for a cool swim (properly attired) It’s a further trek from Batad for a total of 3 hours.
B. BANGA-AN VILLAGE – Instead of Batad, Banga-an showcases a typical Ifugao community. After viewing the terraces from the roadside, stone steps lead downward to this village through the terraced slopes. You are rewarded with spectacular view of this village and its surrounding rice terraces close up.
There is also a stop-over at the Banaue view point from 4800 ft. above. A panoramic view is an experience of the enormity and extent of the terraces, and then followed by a visit to the Banaue Museum which features decades old books by anthropologist Otley Beyer with artifacts collected by his son William. The museum’s two floors feature weaponry, jewelry, traditional dresses, and old photographs of the Ifugaos. You may also stop at the town market for souvenir shopping before dinner.

DAY 2 - BANAUE-MANILA
Leave Banaue after breakfast and proceed back to Manila. There is a scenic look-out point stop-over at Dalton pass. Two mountain ranges link up at this point. It has a brave World War II history, Lunch at roadside restaurant is on personal account. Arriving in Manila at around 06:30 PM, depending on traffic and weather condition.
